The Peacock Room is the main performance space within King Charles Court, because of this it has a lighting rig installed. The rig includes a variety of lights covering spotlights to colours.

There are three different ways of controlling the lights, this guide will cover the most basic method. There are eight pre-programmed scenes or presets. These should be enough for the vast majority of use cases.

There are two control panels, next to each entrance to the room. Next to the main entrance (entrance leading from the Logia) there is a panel with eight buttons. Next to the other entrance there is a touch screen panel, also with eight buttons. To choose the appropriate scene simply press the appropriate button. The touch panel is the only one that has the name of each scene, although each panel’s button’s correspond to each other.

Below is the list of the scenes, what they are including photos.

List of Scenes –

Whole Room Bright – All of the lights are turned on and set to white, with a hint of ‘daylight’ blue. This preset is good for general use and for when the audience are entering and exiting.

Performance Small Enseble (Ensemble) – Most lights are on, the main focus is on the front of the room where the performers generally are. The 3 chandelier rings are on so the audience are illuminated.

Whole Room Orchestra – Just the 3 chandelier rings , evenly lit across whole room. Possibly only useful for orchestral rehearsals.

Performance Large Ensemble – Only lights at the front of the room are on, the audience are not illuminated. Good for general performances.

Whole Room Colours – This is the same as Whole Room Bright but with added colours highlighting the walls and statues. If the button is pressed repeatedly the colours cycle through several colours. Good for general use and audience entering and exiting.

Performance Plus Aud (Audience) – The same as Performance Large Ensemble but with additional 2 chandelier ring over the audience. Audience rings are at a lower level.

Performance Pus (Plus) Colour – Same as Performance Plus Audience but with additional purple lighting illuminating the statues and side walls. Good for performances that need a bit colour.

All Off – All lights are off and the room is dark.
