SETTING UP THE UAD APOLLO 6X INTERFACE

The Apollo 6x audio interface comes with a collection of audio plugins as well as the UAD Sphere modelling microphone that are already installed and authorised on the interface (no additional activation required). The steps below will guide you through installing UA Connect, the required UAD drivers, and UAD Console—the application used to control your Apollo 6x hardware, manage routing, enable low-latency monitoring, and use realtime UAD plug-ins.

1. Connect the Apollo 6x to your computer using the supplied Thunderbolt (USB-C) cable.

2. Power on the Apollo 6x.

3. Go to uaudio.com/pages/download-uad-apollo and download the UA Connect app for your operating system (macOS or Windows).

4. Launch UA Connect and sign in with your existing UA account, or create a new account if you don’t have one.

5. In UA Connect, navigate to the Apollo & UAD-2 tab.

6. Click Download to initiate the downloads of both the UAD DSP Plugins & Drivers and UAD Console. Follow the on-screen installer instructions. Restart your computer when prompted.

Additional Steps for Apple Silicon Macs (M1, M2, M3, M4)

If you are using an Apple silicon M1, M2, M3, M4 Mac, you may need to follow the steps below to complete the installation:

1. After restarting, open System Settings (from the Apple Menu in the top-left corner of the screen).

2. Select Privacy & Security.

3. Scroll down to the Security section.

4. Click Allow , and enter your password to continue.
